The Institute registration fee includes breakfast, wifi access, and housing in a standard room with two beds (double occupancy twin room) at Pollock Halls, University of Edinburgh. For an additional fee and on a “space available basis,” participants may book a private (single occupancy) standard room (please note that these rooms “sell out” quickly). Both room types include an en-suite private bath.

Each floor of Pollock Halls has a shared “pantry,” providing a kitchen, refrigerator, and sitting/meeting space. Each building also includes a coin-operated laundry facility (at your own expense). On the grounds, there is a 24-hr reception centre, restaurant, bar, and convenience shop. Pollock Halls is also on the Lothian bus line (Commonwealth Pool stop)

Due to room reservation requirements, a room option must be selected at the time of initial registration. If no option is selected, we will assign you a double-occupancy room and roommate. Quoted registration rates are for standard, double-occupancy rooms (two people per room). You can request a specific roommate; otherwise, we will assign you a same-sex roommate. Upgrades to single rooms are at an additional fee (see registration packet for pricing). Note that on-site upgrades will be made available if possible, but cannot be guaranteed. If you are upgraded on-site, you will be expected to provide the additional fee upon check-in.

“Non-housing” Registration Option – A “non-housing” registration option is available for persons residing locally in the UK or for individuals who wish to arrange their own housing independent of the Institute. “Non-housing” registration includes access to all educational sessions but does not include housing, meals, travel, or the cost of Institute-sponsored trips and outings.  You will be responsible for your own travel to and from sessions (parking fees may apply). Additionally, other registration discounts (see registration packet) will not apply.
